Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Black Hawk Area Swim Team, you will spearhead swimming programs and provide individual and group lessons tailored to children of various age groups and skill levels. This role is ideal for students who have a deep passion for swimming, excellent communication skills, and a genuine ability to inspire young swimmers and instill in them a love and respect for the water. At present, we are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Swim Instructor to join our team and serve our Black Hawk Area Swim Team in Cedar Falls, IA.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction to students of all ages and skill levels
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all students
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance as needed
Requirements
• Experience working with students of all ages and abilities, preferably in an educational or instructional setting
• Strong swimming skills and knowledge of various swim strokes and techniques
• Strong background in water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organizational, time management and creative teaching skills
• Strong behavior management skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
• Experience in childcare or sports coaching is beneficial, as it demonstrates an understanding of working with children in a structured environment!
